  Jake Hecla is a graduate student in the department of nuclear engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned an undergraduate degree in nuclear science and engineering from MIT in 2017, where he worked on zero-knowledge verification techniques for arms control. His research at UC Berkeley currently focuses on radiation imaging techniques using scene data fusion. Beginning in the fall of 2019, he will be working at Lawrence Livermore National Lab on antineutrino detectors for nonproliferation applications.
